Oracle Application Express (Oracle APEX) is a rapid web application development tool. Using only a web browser and limited programming experience, you can develop and deploy professional multi-user applications that are both fast and secure.
Application Express combines the qualities of a personal database such as MS Access (productivity, ease of use, and flexibility) with the qualities of an enterprise database that Oracle provides (security, integrity, performance, scalability, availability, and built for the web).
The browser based design time interface and simple wizards make Oracle Application Express a natural replacement for multi-user desktop database applications such as Microsoft Access.
APEX is not only a rapid development tool but also provides a migration workbench for importing Access and Excel models to enable easy migration to Application Express.
There are many off the shelf applications that have been written for APEX and Asparona uses such an application, Horizon, to manage its consulting and support business.
