This is an excellent opportunity for the person who has performed the role of Practice Manager within an IT business consulting practice or served as a Senior / Principal consultant. Couple this with your proven track record in Business Development, the ability to travel as business need require to wanting to take the next step in your career – this role could be for you!
Your position objectives include:
- Hold the responsibility for revenue growth of the Business Consulting division, including commercial management of business development, profitability targets and consultant billable hours.
- Manage the sales pipeline and budget. You’ll be working across the company with the Directors and Sales team to identify and close opportunities. You’ll lead go-to-market initiatives, presales thought leadership and preparation of RFP responses and proposals.
- Understand all project, resource and capability requirements and enjoy building and coaching your team to maintain these standards. Your project management experience lets you work across small to large scale process improvements and organisational design projects.
- Your clients rave about the service they received as you run a tight delivery operation and work with the appropriate internal teams to ensure seamless delivery.
For the formal checks and requirements, your experience and skills include:
- Process and/or operations improvement and reengineering experience along with the modelling tools used within the industry
- An in-depth understanding applying technology to business improvement initiatives as an enabling mechanism.
- You pride your ability to plan and execute against technical life-cycle implementation stages.
- Experienced in preparation of Business Cases, Requirements Analysis, running Selection processes and Fit-Gap Analysis.
- Have a good understanding of overall organization design approaches including structure, roles, performance management, staff evaluation, skill development plans and compensation and incentive plans.
- Thrive and work best under pressure
- You enjoy a team environment and have the knack of working with all levels of staff and management yet diplomatically challenge them when required.
- The customer is a focal point for you and you uncover their needs and drivers and ensure delivery is tailored and flexible to meet their requirements.
- You consider your decision making, logical, analytical and organized thinking skills a strength supported by your skill to manage time
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including presentations
Qualifications:
- A minimum of a Bachelors Degree with 8-10 years in business related discipline
- The appropriate certifications and industry memberships will be considered an advantage in industry methods, frameworks and tools
- Six Sigma and/or PRINCE2/Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
