Administration I
This course introduces the architecture of Oracle Application Server 10g and
enables the participants to effectively install and manage Oracle Application
Server 10g. The participants learn how to access and use Oracle Application
Server management tools, and practice the basic management tasks such as
starting and stopping of Oracle Application Server 10g instances and its
components. The participants gain hands-on experience in configuring the Oracle
Application Server 10g Infrastructure and the Oracle Application Server 10g
middle-tier. They also learn to deploy J2EE applications such as Web
applications. They learn the concepts of identity management and how to
configure and manage Oracle Internet Directory, Oracle Application Server
Single Sign-On Server, and the Oracle Application Server Certificate Authority.
The participants learn how to leverage Oracle Identity Management
Infrastructure for securing OracleAS Portal. Participants also learn the
procedures involved in backing up and restoring the Oracle Application Server
10g instances from backup in case of a disaster.

Administration II
This course is the suggested follow-up to Oracle Application Server 10g R2:
Administration I. The focus of this class is to introduce how to distribute
Oracle Application Server components in different enterprise topologies to
provide and maintain high availability, and scalability.

Get introduced to the new features in Oracle Application Server 10g. In this
course you learn the new features in areas such as Oracle Application Server
Certificate Authority (OCA), High availability, Oracle Internet Directory
(OID), Single Sign-On, Web Cache, Portal, and Backup and Recovery of Oracle
Application Server.

Discoverer: End Users
This course introduces students to the querying and analytical capabilities of
OracleAS Discoverer. Students will learn how to view data stored in a
relational database, and analyze and create reports based upon that data using
OracleAS Discoverer Plus. In particular, students will learn how to create,
modify, and refine ad hoc queries using Discoverer's intuitive and easy-to-use
Workbook Wizard. They will learn how to present data graphically and how to
format query results to create customized reports. Students will learn how to
create simple and advanced calculations to perform data analysis and create
reports that answer a variety of business questions, such as year-to-year
comparisons and ranking.

Discoverer: Administrators
This course introduces students to Oracle Discoverer Administrator 10g. As
Discoverer managers, students learn how to create and customize the End User
Layer, how to create business areas and folders, and define analytical
facilities for end users. Students also learn about the different types of
connection mechanisms supported by OracleAS Discoverer and how to control the
user access to the End User Layer. Students learn how to use materialized views
and automated summary management. In addition, students learn how to use Oracle
Enterprise Manager 10g Application Server Control to configure OracleAS
Discoverer.

End Users
This course introduces students to the querying and analytical capabilities
of Oracle Business Intelligence Discoverer Plus (OracleBI Discoverer Plus.)
Students will learn how to use Discoverer Plus to query, report, and analyze
corporate data. They will learn how to use Discoverer Plus Relational to perform ad hoc
analyses against relational data sources, and how to use Discoverer
Plus OLAP to perform analysis on OLAP data that resides in a multidimensional data source.

Administrator (OracleBI Discoverer Administrator). As the Discoverer Manager,
students learn how to create and customize the End User Layer, how to create

OracleAS Portal, a Oracle Fusion Middleware product, incorporates a portal
building framework with self-service publishing features to enable you to
create and manage information accessed within your portal. In this course, you
learn to use the rich, declarative environment of OracleAS Portal to build
enterprise, or corporate portals.

Build Portlets with PL/SQL
Learn to create, deploy, and test portlets, the building blocks of a portal
page. Build portlets running in an Oracle database by applying the OracleAS 10g
Portal Developer Kit (PDK) PL/SQL application programming interface (API).
Learn to make portlets customizable to enable end user personalization as well
as how to secure portlets. And learn to enhance portlet performance by
implementing caching and learn to build multi-lingual portlets.
